NEMSU’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) system will adopt internationally recognized frameworks such as AASHE STARS and GRI, ensuring that progress indicators are globally comparable. Each SDG-linked target will be accompanied by verifiable indicators, such as carbon footprint reduction, publication outputs, and community livelihood improvements that are externally validated.Continuous monitoring, evaluation, and transparent reporting (MER) will ensure that NEMSU’s Sustainability Policy remains on track and results in real outcomes. MER not only helps in internal management and improvement but is also vital for demonstrating NEMSU’s impact to external bodies such as THE Impact Rankings, partners, and the public. The following outlines how NEMSU will track progress, measure success, and communicate results in alignment with the SDGs:
NEMSU’s MER framework ensures that “what gets measured, gets managed.” By diligently tracking and openly reporting our progress toward the SDGs, we not only stay accountable to our commitments but also celebrate our contributions and learn from our experiences. It builds credibility for NEMSU – showing that when we claim to drive sustainable development, we have the data and stories to back it up. This transparency and rigor in MER will significantly strengthen NEMSU’s profile in applications to rankings like THE Impact Rankings, which demand verifiable evidence of impact. More importantly, it will help all of us at NEMSU see the real difference our efforts make, reinforcing motivation to push further towards our sustainability vision.
