NEMSU’S COLLABORATION FOR SHARED LAND ECOSYSTEMS
In celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Cantilan Campus joined hands with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cantilan to promote environmental conservation through a large-scale tree planting activity. The event took place on September 14 at Baybay Dos, Barangay Magosilom, extending to Barangay Union.
The initiative successfully planted over 600 tree seedlings, made possible through the support of CENRO Cantilan, which provided the seedlings, and MENRO Cantilan, whose personnel actively assisted in the planting. This collaborative endeavor highlights NEMSU’s dedication to sustainable land ecosystem management, aligning with the university’s environmental advocacy and the goals of SDG 15: Life on Land.
NEMSU strengthens community-based efforts toward reforestation, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience, ensuring that both the university and the surrounding communities play an active role in nurturing a greener and more sustainable future.
