11.3.1. Arts and Heritage Expenditure
NEMSU INVESTS ₱14.17 MILLION IN ARTS AND HERITAGE OUT OF ₱1.36 BILLION TOTAL EXPENDITURE
In Fiscal Year 2024, North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) recorded a total university expenditure of ₱1,357,114,401.36, composed of funds from both the General Appropriations Act (GAA) and the Student Trust Fund (STF).
Of this amount, ₱14,168,679.99 was specifically allocated to support arts and heritage initiatives, including ₱14,055,896.99 for libraries and ₱112,783.00 for musical instruments. This investment represents 1.04% of the university’s overall budget, reflecting NEMSU’s continuing commitment to the preservation of cultural resources, promotion of creative expression, and provision of accessible educational facilities.
Through this allocation, NEMSU not only sustains vital heritage and cultural programs but also enhances the academic and artistic experience of its students, faculty, and the wider community.
