5.5.1. Proportion of Female Degrees Awarded
North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) recorded a total of 1,296 female graduates across all campuses in three broad areas—STEM, Medicine, and Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences—during Academic Year 2023–2024. Among these, the majority were from STEM-related programs (682 graduates, 52.63%), followed by Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (466 graduates, 35.95%), and Medicine (149 graduates, 11.50%).
This distribution highlights NEMSU’s growing female representation in traditionally male-dominated fields such as STEM, while still maintaining strong participation in the social sciences and health-related disciplines. The data underscores the university’s commitment to gender inclusivity and equal opportunities across academic disciplines
